Conduct of Members
All participants in this Programme are expected to conduct
themselves in accordance with the Ramblers' Code, which is to
promote rambling, protect rights of way, and campaign for access to
open country and to defend the beauty of the countryside
On all rambles sensible footwear, waterproof clothing, food,
drink and a first aid kit are essential.
|
|
Dogs may be brought on rambles provided that owners accept full responsibility
for them and for any claims arising from them.
The Chesterfield and North-East Derbyshire Group of the
Ramblers' Association does not accept responsibility for any loss
or damage to participants' property or for any illness or injury to
them, however caused, nor for any consequences whatsoever arising
from errors, omissions and alterations to this Programme.
|
|
Members who wish to complain about incidents, which might
arise on specific rambles, or other matters, should lodge their
complaints, in writing, with the Secretary Tony Hunt. They must not
ask committee members to raise matters anonymously, on their behalf,
at the monthly meetings, as this can place individuals in an invidious
position. The General Committee will then investigate the complaint.
All members are invited, of course, to attend all meetings.
The Secretary would also be pleased to receive letters of praise
and thanks from club members who have been especially happy with
the outcome of any events, which they have attended.
